The UIUCares Malaria Outreach Program on World Malaria Day 2023 is a targeted initiative aimed at raising awareness and combating malaria in the communities of Obiagu and Artisan quarters. On this day, UIUCares organized an educational outreach, with medical professionals sensitizing on combating malaria.
UIUCares was able to provide free malaria testing and distribution of antimalarial drugs to 100 persons, distribution of bed nets to 150 persons. The program focuses on disseminating crucial information about malaria prevention, symptoms, and available treatments. UIUCares aims to engage the community in proactive measures to reduce the incidence of malaria, fostering a sense of collective responsibility. Through these efforts, the organization strives to contribute to the global fight against malaria and improve public health outcomes on World Malaria Day.
