World Malaria Day Program 2025

The World Malaria Day Program held on April 25th and 29th, 2025, in Enugu State was a highly impactful initiative dedicated to reducing the malaria burden in vulnerable communities. Conducted in collaboration with the Federal Ministry of Health and healthcare providers, the outreach offered free testing, treatment, and prevention resources to over 200 individuals. The community’s active participation highlights the importance of continued malaria interventions, especially in underserved areas.

 Location:

  1. Ugwuaji Primary School, Enugu South LGA – Served as the program center
  2. Amechi Ndi Aga T-Junction, Enugu South LGA – Secondary outreach location

Duration:

2 Days: April 25th and April 29th, 2025

 Impact Assessment:

  1. Beneficiaries: Over 200 individuals
  2. Services Rendered:Distribution of over 200 free antimalarial drugs,210 insecticide-treated bed nets shared.Malaria testing using kits supplied by the Federal Ministry of Health. Free medical consultations provided by certified healthcare professionals
  3. Community Outcome:Increased awareness of malaria symptoms and prevention.Prompt treatment for infected individuals,Strengthened trust in public health initiatives

  2. St. Mary Hospital – Provided medical professionals for testing and treatment
