Technology Program – Cohorts 6 & 7

UIUCares Technology Program, aimed at equipping public secondary students with practical computer skills, successfully concluded Cohort 6 in 2025, graduating 15 individuals.The UIUCares Technology Program is on a mission to unlock potential. By equipping public secondary students with practical computer skills, they’re bridging the digital divide and opening doors to a brighter future. Cohort 7 of the Technology Program is currently ongoing with 15 students in total.

Objective: To impart practical computer skills to public secondary students

Current Status: Cohort 7 with 15 students currently underway, concluding April 2026

Impact:

The program empowers students with essential tech skills, enhancing their digital literacy and future prospects. Aligning with the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), specifically Goal 4: Quality Education and Goal 8: Decent Work and Economic Growth.

Conclusion: Cohort 6’s success marks another milestone in UIUCares’ mission to bridge the digital divide. With Cohort 7 ongoing, we anticipate continued growth and impact. We’re committed to expanding access to tech education, driving socio-economic progress.
