UIUCares focused on equipping individuals with practical skills to foster self-reliance and wealth creation.

Apprenticeship Program: Trained and empowered five individuals to learn different trades with four more currently enrolled to learn trade like tailoring, nylon production, electronic engineering, make-up artistry.

Accomplishments: Provided hands-on vocational training and startup support.

Impact: Created pathways for financial independence and job creation.

The UIUCares Apprenticeship Program is a comprehensive initiative that sponsors individuals to acquire skills in various trades.

The program is designed to empower participants by providing them with practical training, mentorship, and the opportunity to develop expertise in their chosen fields.

Six (6) Participants have completed the following UIUCares Apprenticeship Program

Nnaemeka Nwafor: Shoemaking /1 year.
Basic and advanced shoe making techniques.
Leather Working.
Footwear designing.
Nnaemeka is through with his apprenticeship in shoemaking, he has started working on the side for people and he is saving to get his own shop.

Ifeoma Sunday: Baking/3 months.
Baking fundamentals and techniques.
Pastry and dessert preparation.
Cake decorating skills.
Ifeoma is done with her apprenticeship and now works from home preparing different pastries. She also advertises her different cakes on Whatsapp to attract customers.

Chidera Onuoha: Graphic Design/5 months.
Digital illustration and image editing.
Logo design and branding concepts.
Visual communications and design.
Chidera has finished with her learning of Graphic Design and is now a student in University, she is now focused on making money through her skill.

Joshua Ngozichukwu: Welding/ 1 year.
Metal fabrication and structural welding.
Safety protocols in welding.
Welding techniques.
Joshua has finished his apprenticeship this January and has started buying the necessary tools for his trade.

Ebubechukwu Ngozichukwu: Computer Repair/1 year.
Computer Assembly and disassembly.
Hardware diagnostics and troubleshooting.
Software installation and configuration.
Ebubechukwu is also almost done with his apprenticeship which he did concurrently with his schooling, he is now seeking to perfect his skills.

Ogili Rita: Tailoring/1 year.
Alterations and garment fitting.
Operation of sewing machine.
Ogili Rita just started her apprenticeship December 2023 and has yet to complete 1 year.

Chioke Stephen Echezona: Automobile Electrician/ 1 year
